先日、KWUホームページで正式に発表がありましたが、本年11月25日、26日に東京体育館で開催予定であった「第3回KWU世界大会」の開催地が東京からロシアに変更となりました。（開催都市については、現在調整中です）

4月4日、モスクワで行なわれたKWU共同代表者会議の中で、ユーリ・トルトネフ氏（ロシア副首相・KWU共同代表）から盧山館長（KWU共同代表）に第3回KWU世界大会を東京からロシアに移すことについての経緯が説明され、盧山館長もKWU側の事情を理解し、共同代表者の満場一致を以って可決承認されました。当初、KWUが資金を含めた全面的な支援のもとに空手母国日本での開催が決まりましたが、本年に入り、予定していた資金の調達が困難であることと、ロシア国外への大規模な通貨流出に制限がかかってしまったことで、KWUが現段階での東京開催が困難であると判断したものです。

その際、開催地変更の発表については、KWUの正式発表後に公にすることとなっていたため、本日の公表となりました。

これまでKWU世界大会を東京で開催するためにご尽力いただきました関係者の皆様には、多大なるご迷惑をおかけしましたことを深くお詫び申し上げます。

※4月30日（日）に開催する全日本ウェイト制大会と全日本女子大会は、予定通り第3回KWU世界大会日本代表選抜大会として実施いたします。

 

A few days ago, there was an official announcement on the KWU website that the venue for the "3rd KWU World Championship" scheduled to be held at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on November 25 and 26 this year has changed from Tokyo to Russia. (The host city is currently under adjustment.)

April 4th, the KWU board meeting was held in Moscow, and Mr. Yuri Trutnev (Prime Minister of Russian Federation / KWU Co-Chairman) explained to Kancho Hatsuo Royama (KWU Co-Chairman) the historical circumstances of transferring the venue from Tokyo to Russia, and Kancho Royama understood the situation of the KWU side and this change was approved unanimously by the board members. Initially, KWU decided to hold the championship in Karate's originated country Japan with full support including funds, but this year it turned out to be difficult to procure funds planned, and remitting large amount of currency outside Russia has been restricted. Therefore, KWU has decided that holding the championship in Tokyo at this stage is no longer possible.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the announcement of the change of the venue was to be made public after the official announcement by the KWU, which lead us to announce this news today.
